The End Of All We Know
A man with no memory of his past encounters something out of his world. Will his journey to survive it bring back his past?
In darkness, there is the sound of something flying through the air and then an explosion from impact. “These noises, why are they haunting me?” The darkness erupts into a scene of a battlefield. A hooded figure wielding a huge glowing sword stands on a ledge looking over a rocken field. Armored orcs, followed by weaponized robots, charged towards an oncoming army made up of countless different species. The orc force was greatly outnumbered, as they were fighting multiple armies at once. A giant robotic dragon burst through the ranks. It was about 150 feet long, white with black markings, and had glowing purple eyes. It let out a shrieking roar before emitting blasts of lasers from its mouth, eyes, and a large gun on its head, tearing apart the troops. A large armored orc approached the hooded figure. “My lord, what shall we do?” he asked. The figure, not moving, replied in two voices, one human and one not so human, much to deep, raspy, and powerful. “Recall all troops, send the Combiner unit to cover them from the dragon.” “Right away my lord,” and the orc let out a powerful roar of his own. From the higher ground above the orc troops, a group of heavily armed and armored robots jumped off the ledge, and combined into a 100 foot robot, which throws aside and crushes a few opposing troops in front of him while charging towards the dragon. The dragon blasted a beam of lasers at the combiner, but it sidestepped and fired back with a gun on one of its arms, landing a shot on the dragon. “Lets go, gather the rest of the commandos and meet me in the throne room of the castle,” said the cloaked man, turning around. The man’s face was wisps of darkness, but would shape into a humanoid face, one that looked oddly familiar.
An alarm clock started going off, and Malgrum gasped awake. He looked around the room, dazed. It was a sunny morning, with not a cloud in the sky. The room was vacant, as everyone else was up in the house, and a commotion from downstairs suggested everyone was in the living room and kitchen. Malgrum left the room and walked towards the stairs, but as he took the first step, he heard a voice, a voice that sounded like the one in the dream. “This world was never meant to be,” it said. “Our mission is to purge it to its original state.” “What the hell was that,” Malgrum thought to himself. “I swear it’s in my head, but it fills the room, it completely surrounds me.” He walked down the stairs and approached Bitoku and Mia, who were sitting at a bar in the kitchen. “Good morning Malgrum,” said Bitoku. Malgrum nodded in reply, and after a few seconds replied. “Did any of you hear a voice, like one that wasn’t from any of us and loud as hell?” Mia and Bitoku looked at each other, “no, we haven’t, do you think it was one of your visions again?” “Actually, I did have a dream, but I don’t think it has anything to do with my past.” Malgrum explained his dream to Bitoku, who looked at him questionably. “So you heard the same voice in your dream as you were walking down the stairs,” Bitoku asked. “Yes,” replied Malgrum.” “Hmm, that is odd. The events of the dream can’t be real, it just can’t exist, and a dream can just be a dream. The voice while you were awake, however, is what’s getting me, cause that is one hundred percent something, especially if it is connected to the dream. Maybe the voice is someone you know, and your dream is an interpretation of that” “I don’t know, but the figure kind of looked like me,” said Malgrum. “Maybe it’s just your imagination, none of this makes sense.” said Bitoku. Malgrum sat confused for a moment, and then decided to go outside to get the mail. “None of this makes any sense, oh hey Vik,” said malgrum as he passed his neighbor, who was out barbequing. Vik waved his spatula in the air, and the grill burst into flames, Vik waving his apron over it frantically to try and put it out. Malgrum walked up to the mailbox and grabbed the mail. “I could have just handed it to you for fuck sake, why is your timing ass,” said a voice behind Malgrum, as he was heading back towards the house. “Nice to see you Bob,” replied Malgrum to the large mailman.
As Malgrum began walking back to the house, the sky suddenly darkened. “Now what, I thought it was clear skies today, WAIT WHAT THE HELL IS THIS SHIT!” A giant ship had appeared in the sky. It was black, with gray highlights and circular green windows. It was heading towards the city of Tokyo, but was launching smaller ships on the way. There was a giant crash as a ship landed a few blocks down, and from it sprang a group of armed robots. They were humanoid, some with the same colors as the ship, and having a green bubble as a face, while others had purple highlights with a sharp purple visor. They were all armed with a jagged gun with an energy stripe down the center, and they started shooting at onlooking people, as well as houses.
A shell laser hit the far side of Vik’s house and tore a hole in it. “Shit” yelled Vik, with his hands on his head. “Wow, looks like my inlaws finally showed up,” mused Bob, who stood chuckling until a laser landed right by him, barely missing him. “Bloody fucking hell, fuck this shit,” he bellowed, then pushing his mailbag into a starstruck Malgrum’s hands, ran by him towards Bitoku’s house. “Wait for me,” yelled Vik, who hurdled the fence and rushed towards Bitoku’s front door. Malgrum stood, staring, at the oncoming invasion, the voice echoing in his head and the vision of his dream running through his mind. “It can’t be,” he said “this can’t be real, there's no way.” Yet there it was, real as it could get, looming over him. “But if this is real, is my dream real? If it is, what am I doing here, and how am I connected? Could I be that masked figure that spoke with my voice?” he thought, panicked. “Malgrum, c’mon!” Yelled Vik. Malgrum turned around and bolted towards the door, slamming it shut and locking it. Bitoku hurried to the three men at the doorway. “What's all the racket outside, is there an earthquake?” Panting, Malgrum replied “you won’t believe me if I told you, turn on the tv, I swear if the news isn’t covering this I might be insane.” Mia and Tia were peaking behind Bitoku, looking concerned, and Ryla came running from the other room to Malgrum. “Are you alright,” she asked. “I don’t know,” replied Malgrum. “You have to see this shit, c’mon,” and the group made their way to the tv. They crashed on the couch, while a few others leaned on the backs of them, and grabbing the remote, turned on the tv. They put the news on and a live video appeared of the ships attacking, with a middle aged woman reporting on it. “The robot invasion is moving deeper into Tokyo. For those who weren’t tuned in earlier, we are under a full scale invasion from what appears to be robots that are not from this planet. The main target appears to be Tokyo, due to the vast population, but the areas around the city are also being affected, and there is a high probability that the invasion will expand once they are done with Tokyo. The military is trying to deal with the issue as we speak, however their technology trumps ours, so the outcome is unfavorable. The government recommends staying inside, in the lowest place possible, and remember, as far as we know these robots have no motive, which means all they know and care about is death and destruction.”
The group stood, staring at the tv with their jaws wide open. “Well shit,” said Bob. “How long can we hold out with so many people, with what we have for food?” Tia asked, concerned. “We don't,” replies Bitoku. “We have to leave and head for the city. “WHAT! Are you insane!?” asks Vik. “Like Tia said, we won’t last on food and other resources. Once the robots are done with the city, they will target our area. By the time we sneak into the city, the majority of the people will be gone, either killed by the robots or having fled, so the city will be the least densely populated, meaning this area will be the target. Staying here we also have no cover or escape beyond this house, while the city will have more resources and hiding places. The only way we can survive in the long term is to face it head on.” The group sat in silence for a moment, all looking somber. “Well, when you put it that way, I guess we should probably get going,” said Bob. “pack your shit and let's go.” Since there were a lot of people at the house that didn’t live at the house, they had to borrow resources from the members who lived there, taking their clothes, some food, and then meeting in the living area. “You guys ready?” asks Kali. “Let's get this over with.”
Bitoku opens the door and peaks out, looking around. There is some destruction in the neighborhood, but nothing major. The streets were abandoned, with everyone being inside with their doors locked and blinds shut. “All clear, let's go.” Bitoku led the group out of the house and down the street. With him he wielded a katana that he had initially had on display. “We need weapons to defend ourselves, keep an eye out for robots, if we can ambush them we can steal their guns.” The group continued walking down the street, keeping close to the fences for cover. As the were about to round a bend, they heard a weird noise, along with gears and the clunking of footsteps. “Ones coming, get down and stay behind,” whispers Bitoku. They crouched next to the fence, and could see the shadows of two robots that were around the bend. Bitoku grabbed and threw a rock over the fence beyond the robots. The robots turned around, aiming their guns in the direction of the rock. Bitoku sprang up from behind the fence and swung his sword horizontally, decapitating the robots before they knew what was happening. They dropped to their knees before crashing to the ground. “Quick, grab their guns,” said Bitoku. As he was turned around, a robot appeared from further down the street, running and coming to a stop before aiming and releasing a bolt at Bitoku. “BITOKU LOOK OUT!” Screamed Kali. Bitoku picked up his head and had a look of shock on his face, but before the shot could land, Malgrum sprang forward. A laser shield burst out of his right arm from nowhere, and he blocked the shot, before spinning around and shooting down the robot with a gun that had appeared in his left hand. The gun was futuristic and looked nothing like anything on earth. It was a bright neon purple, with two red lines that went through it. It had a ridge in the middle, where it had two spikes around the site, and the whole gun was made up of countless angular designs. Malgrum stood, arm still out with the gun smoking in his hand. “What just happened?” Kali asked nervously. Malgrum snapped out of his focused trance, shaking his head and looking at either side of himself, confused. “Curious,” said Bitoku. “Where did you get those, let alone learn how to use them?” “I don’t know,” replied Malgrum. “It just happened, something just came over me.” The shield and the gun all of a sudden glowed blue and zapped back into the belt he was wearing, turning back into the blue orbs that were decorating it. “So that’s where they came from,” noted Bitoku. “My friend, that mumbo jumbo you’ve been dreaming about may actually be real, because something about you is not of this world.” Kali, Ryla, and Vik each take a gun from the fallen robots. Then, regrouping, the group begins walking together in the center of the street, towards the looming city that is smoking before them.
Bitoku led the group through the neighborhood, keeping low and avoiding robots. It started to get dark the closer they got to the city, the sun peaking over the skyscrapers when Bitoku decided “let's make camp in that abandoned house, probably not a good idea to travel by dark, those robots may be able to see in it.” They made their way into a house that was clearly abandoned. The cars were gone and the front door left open. There was a giant hole in the roof over the garage, clearly made from a laser from a ship. “This should keep us safe for the night, robots won’t think twice about looking in this place,” thought Malgrum. “Maybe I can play around with the orb things, see if I can summon a weapon again.” Everyone made camp in the living room, chucking their bags in a pile. Vik and Mia went through the house, going through the pantry and making meals for themselves. Bob crashed on a couch and instantly fell asleep, while Tia layed down on the floor under some blankets they found, watching the Tv. Bitoku sat in a chair, rocking back and forth, thinking to himself. While the others were settling down, Malgrum went through the sliding screen door in the kitchen into the patio in the backyard, looking up at the stars. He held his hand over one of the orbs and it shot into it, turning into a blue energy. “Worried about all of this shit?” asked Ryla, who followed him out after noticing he wasn’t with the others. “Can’t say no I guess,” replied Malgrum. Sighing, he looked over at the crumbling city. “I guess I’m just pissed, I was finally becoming comfortable with life at Bitoku’s, even without my memory. Like, there is something that tells me my past is important and I should find it, but another part of me was willing to forget about it, move on, and I was beginning to, and willing to. I guess I can’t hold onto anything, because when I finally get something I’m happy with I lose that too.” “You still have it, we’re right here,” Ryla said, gesturing back at the group. Malgrum turned his head to look back at Ryla. “But like you mentioned, I’m worried, because now, every moment, I feel at risk of losing a part of that, and I get a feeling of deja vu over it, like it’s happened before. I think that happened in my past life, and I could do nothing about it, that’s why it’s bugging me so much.” Malgrum looked back out at the sky, and Ryla stepped forward and leaned her head on Malgrum’s shoulder. “I get that same feeling too. Maybe our pasts are connected and we lost each other, and we’re afraid of that again.” “C'mon, that sounds like something about a fairytale, we’re not that tragic.” said Malgrum chuckling. “Maybe,” replied Ryla laughing. “But I’ve noticed that our visions don’t fully align, mine tend to be in a place very bright, as though it were in the heavens. Then it goes dark, like I’m falling through the sky. I know you’ve had a similar vision but that’s where mine ends and yours take a turn. Yours sound like hell, it's all death and destruction.” “Maybe I was in hell, because everytime I try to think of my past all I feel is pain,” said Malgrum, now examining the blue energy in his hand. He swung his arm and it turned into a giant sword, glistening with energy. “All I know is that I’m going to make my own fate, I’m losing nothing.” Ryla, examining the sword, noted. “You really care about us, don’t you.” “Yes,” replied Malgrum, zapping the sword back into the orb in his belt. “Then why did you always distance yourselves from the group,” asked Ryla. Malgrum, who was starting to head inside, stopped. “I don’t know, I was just scared, I felt getting attached was just gonna lead to more hurt.” Ryla chuckled, “well to late for that now.” Malgrum let out a small smile, “and that is why I’ll be the shield and the spear of the group, nothing will happen to any of you.” “Even Bob’s grumpy ass?” asked Ryla. Malgrum chuckled, “even Bob’s grumpy ass.” Malgrum hesitated to go inside. “Can you not tell Bitoku about any of this, he’ll just worry and overthink it.” “Sure thing,” replied Ryla, who walked up to the door. “Alright then, let's get some rest, I feel like we’re going to need it tomorrow.”
The sun shone through the curtains in the group’s hideout. Yawning, Bob rolled off of the couch and crashed onto the floor, where an unfortunate Kali was laying sound asleep. “AHH, WHAT THE HELL, YOU FAT BASTARD!” yelled Kali, shoving Bob off of him. Bob, dazed, mumbled and rolled back on top of Kali. “GAHHHH,” he yelled again. “Wow, quite the wakeup call,” said Vik, yawning. The rest of the group was stirring, all except Bitoku, who was wide awake in his armchair with a bowl of cereal. “Good morning yall, get some breakfast, pack your shit, and let's get on the move,” he said. Bob and Kali, both cursing, untangled themselves from each other and made their way to the pantry. The group ate a quick meal before rushing out of the door. “You sure we can’t bring the Tv,” asked Tia. “And have to deal with carrying it stealthily through the city with no source of power, no,” replied Bitoku. “And this is why mom said I was the better twin,” Mia snarked. “YOU BITCH,” said Tia, who launched herself at Mia, who also took off at Tia. “Now hold up a minute, calm down you two”, said Kali, who caught the twins either side of him. However it was not Kali’s morning, as he took a stray hook from each of the twins. “Dam, what is up with y’all,” said Kali, lying on the floor dazed. “C’mon guys, we’ve gotta get going, pack up and let’s go,” said Bitoku, intervening. The group packed quickly and met at the front door. “Welp, let's get this over with,” said Mia. They walked one by one out of the door and followed the road to the city. The fires had begun to die down, but there was still smoke coming from the city, and it grew larger and larger the nearer they drew. They made it to a large bridge, which was the entrance to the city. It was covered with abandoned cars, with some further down flipped over from the attack. “Stay low and keep quiet, the majority of the army has left the city, but there are some still in it, and by the zooming sounds there are still some smaller ships in the area,” noted Bitoku. They started creeping over the bridge, but when they were halfway over the zooming noises started to get louder. A small ship rounded the corner around a building following the river. “TAKE COVER!!” Yelled Bitoku. Everyone scattered and dropped besides the cars, running towards the city. The ship starts shooting at the group, hitting the bridge and sending cars flying. Malgrum ducked behind a car and reached for the orb. It flashed into his hand and latched onto his arm, turning into a giant gun similar to a rail gun. He fired three shots towards the ship and one of them landed, going through the ship and an explosion came from the side of it, leaving the ship crashing to the ground below. “Welp, so much for stealth,” muttered Bob. A clamoring could be heard, along with weird voices not of their world, and at the end of the bridge, a small group of robots began investigating the disturbance, and once spotting the group, started firing in their direction. “FALL BACK, FALL BACK,” screamed Bitoku, who started retreating towards the beginning of the bridge. Malgrum’s giant arm gun then converted itself into a long sniper rifle, and aiming behind one of the cars, started picking off each robot one by one. Realizing that the robots’ numbers were now depleting, the group stopped their retreat and looked at Bitoku, who was looking inquisitively at Malgrum. “Welp, better cross while we can.” The group followed Bitoku over the bridge, with Malgrum slowly following them, still covering them from any oncoming robots. As they reached the end of the bridge, a few robots peaked around building corners to confront the group, but Bitoku and Malgrum, now leading the group, made quick work of them, shooting them down before they could harm the group. They continued deeper into the city without much trouble. “Where’d they all go?” Asked Kali. “It appears they’re smarter than we thought,” said Bitoku. “They’re all grouped at the outskirts of the city to cut off any stragglers from escaping. They’ll probably send some robots through the city at night though since it won’t be expected. We should try to find a spot to settle pretty early.” They made their way to a spot close to where Bitoku found Malgrum and Ryla, and made their camp in an alleyway that had a square opening in the middle of it. It was perfect, as it was out of the way, and well hidden, with enough room to live. It was also close to the busy square, which had countless shops for resources and food. “Guess we’ll have to call this place home,” said Ryla. “We should be all set here.”
One month goes by, and as the group is camping out in the city, they hear ships being released from the main ship. "That's odd, the noise from the ships seems to be coming in our direction, they haven't sent ships to the city in ages, there's like no one here," noted Vik. Kali climbed up above their settlement. "It looks like a pod is being followed by some fighter ships, they're shooting at it" he said. "Could it be an escape pod? That's odd, I didn't know they kept prisoners," thought Bitoku. The fighter ships shots connected with the pod and the pod went down in a heap of flames not to far from where the group was camping. "C'mon, lets check it out," said Bitoku. They traveled a few blocks down to where the pod had crashed. The pod was stuck in the base of a tall building, with the fire having died down. Bob looked in the window. "The hell, its one of those fuckers." Bitoku peered in. "No, this one is different." The pod's occupant was a robot, who wasn't in the greatest of shapes from the crash. However, this robot was not the typical attack robots the group had encountered. It was a lot more advanced, hardly looking like a robot, and more like a human. "It doesn't look armed, help it out and we'll question it," Bitoku declares. Bob opens the pod and lifts the robot out, placing it against the pod. The robot, who was struggling to remain conscious, stirred and stared at the humans looming over him. "you're not exactly like the others, what are you?" asked Bitoku. The robot chuckled, "don't compare me to those abominations," said the robot. "I am a manufacturing bot, one of the original races on our planet." "You guys have a planet?" asked Kali. "Yes, we were from another dimension, a war ridden one. Our planet was neutral, with our purpose being to supply the war. The war ended up decimating our reality, and planet was sucked through to a different reality." "which is ours, bloody brilliant, now we have to deal with an entire planet on top of a ship" said Bob. "Ha, you'd be fortunate if it had," replied the robot. "The planet was sent to another dimension, but some rogue ships were sent to multiple dimensions, including this one. The robots manning them are glitched, a bad program, and when we tried to recover them, they fled, and multiplied. They are taken over by their destructive nature, as they were made for the dark lord of the war, the on who sought to and ended up destroying the dimension. I was taken prisoner by them while I was trying to stop them." "How do we stop them? Asked Bitoku. "The technology these robots posses is far beyond your own, and gives them the ability to quickly create and repair more robots and weapons. However my planet possesses even greater technology, and has the ability to put a stop to this bad batch. The only issue is the location, since there were multiple ships that traveled to countless dimensions with no way of tracking them. Your only way to defeat them is to send a distress signal on the ship's main controls. That's what I was trying to do after I escaped my cell, but it was heavily guarded, and I was forced to flee." replied the robot. "Well then, let's get on that ship and put a stop to this, save the world while we can," said Bitoku. "No, we can't, it's to risky," said Malgrum. "We've been doing fine, we're alive, we're happy, they're is no point in risking all of that, or any of us." "We have the knowledge and the strength, it's our duty to," replied Bitoku. "To hell with duty, what do we owe the rest of the world. They can fend for themselves just as I always have," Malgrum rebutted. "But the world has had your back, look at us for example, we were just normal people that helped a stranger who needed it, you've always had others," argued Bitoku. "How do you know, you have no idea what I've been through, what I've done. I lost everything and lived in agony by myself, for years, and here I am!" Yelled Malgrum. Bitoku looked at him, concerned. "you never mentioned that before, how so?" He asked. Malgrum thought long and hard. "I don't know why I said that, it just came out, it was a feeling I had I guess." The robot stared at Malgrum. "Wait, you look familiar," it said. The group looked at the robot, stunned. "How!?" asked Bitoku. The robot kept staring, and finally said "I swear, he looks like the dark lord of my past world, which is kind of ironic because the batch attacking you was on his order." Ryla piped up, asking "Did he have a name, other than his title?" "Yes, but very few knew it, only the elite orc's closest to him, and you would be lucky if you never came across one of them, they were nasty." Bitoku looked at Malgrum, "do you think that figure in your dream, the dark lord or whatever, is you?" He asked. Malgrum, stunned, replied. "It can't be, I'm nothing like him. When I was next to him in my dream, what I felt radiating off of him was indescribable. It was an immense amount of pain, sorrow, loss, and rage." "Well yeah, that sounds like him, turns out he lost his world to the creator of our own. His entire existence in ours was merely for it's destruction, whether it be revenge or served a purpose I do not know." the robot chimed in. Bitoku looked at Malgrum, sternly. "If you are different from him save this world, act now. If you are in fact that being, then save your world while you can, I know you may fear loss, but it may come if we don't face it anyways. We need you, you're the strongest of us." Malgrum looked back and forth between everyone in the group. They all looked ready to take on this challenge, although Ryla looked weary. "Well, I guess I'm outnumbered, fine, let's end this."
“How are we going to get on the ship?” Tia asked as the group began packing provisions for the assault. “We commandeer one of their smaller ships,” said Bitoku. “We have someone get spotted and then hide, and they should send out a ship to drop some robots off. When the robots are getting off we’ll take them out and take over the ship, and then fly it up to the mothership.” “I don’t think any of us know how to fly a ship, let alone an alien robot one?” Said Mia. “Vik’s smart, he should figure it out,” replied Bitoku. “Wow, no pressure,” Vik said, scratching his head nervously. Bitoku looked at Malgrum, who was standing in a corner with Ryla, his arms crossed. “C’mon Malgrum, it’s time to move.” The group left their encampment, with Malgrum scoffing at Bitoku before leaving his spot begrudgingly. They walked to the main square, their guns at the ready. “So who’s bait?” Asked Tia. “Well, Bob’s the loudest and fattest, I think he’s a solid candidate,” said Kali. “You bastard!” yelled Bob. “I mean he has a point,” said Mia. “C’mon, you can’t be serious, right guys?” Begged Bob. “I think you’re it man,” said Bitoku, patting his back. “Well shit,” fumed Bob. The group set themselves around the corner next to the main square, while Bob stomped out into the main square. “Here goes nothing,” he said, as a buzzing noise grew louder around him. A lone ship appeared above, and Bob started yelling and shooting his gun randomly in the sky. The ship circled back, and after making sure it saw him, Bob ran around the corner to join the others. The ship landed, and opening its hatch, let out a unit of robots, which started making their way over to where Bob had run to. The group burst out from their hiding spot, mowing down all of the robots before they could react. Malgrum ran to the ship and entered it, shooting the unexpecting pilot robot in the back. “All set,” Malgrum hollered to the others. They entered the ship, and Vik went up to the controls. “Wish me luck,” he said nervously, and grabbed the steering device and started moving it. They had a rough takeoff, zigzagging everywhere, however Vik was able to gain control and steady it out, and began heading towards the mothership, which was not too far from their location. “Get ready guys,” said Bitoku, as they neared a hanger on the ship. “Yeah, about that,” piped up Malgrum, who had been sitting away from the others with Ryla. “We’re staying with the ship, that’s the most we’re doing.” The others started arguing in outrage. “What, you can’t do that!” yelled Kali. “You can’t leave us,” Mia said, sounding betrayed. “Malgrum, you realize you are our most skilled fighter, without you there isn’t much hope for us,” Bitoku said disappointedly. “Well apparently you guys are trying to do a stealth mission, which means no fighting, and if we get caught and have to fight, having me will make no difference, we’re dead either way. So if y’all have a death wish go for it, but me and Ryla aren’t throwing our lives away for this world.” The group continued arguing, but Bitoku shut them down. “Their decisions are made, we aren’t changing them, and can’t make them do this. We’ll have to do this without them.” Vik was able to land the ship smoothly without drawing attention. Malgrum and Ryla remained in their spot, while the rest of the group got their weapons ready. Let’s do this,” Bob said enthusiastically. They group left the ship, with Bitoku giving one last long look at Malgrum and Ryla, before exiting to join the others. The group snuck through one of the doors in the hanger and made their way to the control room. “Thank God that ship we stole had a map of this thing, we’d be lost without it,” said Kali. “Don’t get your hopes up, even with the map we could still get lost, this place is huge,” said Bitoku. The group kept making their way through the ship, and eventually made it to the control room. They entered it, and were greeted with the sight of a line of highly developed robots who were all in seats at the control panel. "We have stowaways," one of them said without turning around. They pressed a button and an alarm went off, summoning countless robots, sending them both at the group and the ship they came from. The robots at the panel turned around and started shooting at the group, who took cover in a corridor besides the one of the control room. "We're pinned, we can't get out," yelled Kali." "Hold them off guys," said Bitoku, who started shooting at approaching robots.
Malgrum and Ryla were sitting quietly in the ship when the alarm went off. Waiting nervously for a couple of seconds, they noticed a small group of robots approaching their ship. "I think they suspect us, we need to move," said Ryla. Ryla and Malgrum both snuck out of the ship quietly, and were able to avoid the robots, who entered the ship shortly after.
Malgrum and Ryla started to make their way through the hanger, but the door across from them opened, revealing a whole platoon of robots. The robots started shooting at the duo, who start trying to run diagonally to another door. However, the door they were heading to opens, and even more robots come out. Pinned, Ryla and Malgrum retreated behind some medium sized cargo containers, trying to return fire. However, a multitude of rockets was fired and landed on the pair, sending Malgrum back into the wall, and the debris landed on Malgrum, trapping him. Ryla was left out in the open, alone, with all of the robots starting to swarm her. "NO!" Malgrum yelled, but before anything could happen to Ryla, Malgrum remembered, and everything came back to him. His vision happened in the blink of an eye. Malgrum and Ryla were in a reality, one of immortals. "Don't do it!"Came from Malgrum's mouth, as one of their own took the orb of light, an object of creation, that along with the orb of darkness, with the power of destruction, created and held together their reality. He used the orb to escape the reality, leaving it to crumble. The world started falling into an abyss, Malgrum looking around in panic trying to figure out what to do. "Malgrum!" Ryla yelled, as she began falling into the abyss. "Ryla, no!" he screamed. He was the closest to the orb of darkness, and after looking at it, said "I will find you, you will pay for this, and I will not stop till I have the power to bring back everything." He dove and grabbed on to the orb of darkness, yelling as he consumed the orb. He then used the orb to follow the thief, entering another reality and crashing into a moon next to a giant planet, which the thief had created. The moon transformed into a molten wasteland. He stood on the moon, panting, and looked up at the planet. Yelling, he stomped his foot, and using the power of the orb of darkness, created a fortress made of obsidian. As he started walking towards his new home, a group of soldiers on small ships zoomed around him. "Who are you, speak!" a soldier yelled. Letting out a rye smile, Malgrum responded "I'm the end of your world," and he slashed his arm out, releasing a slash of energy at the soldiers, slicing them in half. Finally making it into his castle, he used the power of the dark orb to create an army of orcs, with his intention on destroying the reality and reclaiming the orb of light. He started sending them to the planet, destroying everything in their path. As a result, the planet responded, sending a huge invasion to the moon. Malgrum and his troops were pushed back to the throne room of his castle, where he began to fight them himself, destroying all in his path. However during his attack, a group of his elite orcs were on the verge of being killed, and he threw himself in the middle of the conflict, throwing his weapon to block a blow from a soldier on an orc. Unarmed, he was surrounded, getting hacked into 7 pieces. The bridge on his throne room then collapsed, resulting in the pieces of his body and the orcs falling into the void below, which was made up of portals. The elite orcs were teleported to a range of mountains on the planet, while the pieces of malgrum were transported throughout the reality, one staying on his moon, one in the ocean on the planet, one in a mountain range on the planet, one in a forest on the planet, one stuck in space, one in a black hole, and one that ended up going to another reality, and landing on earth. During this time, the planet's forces believe they have won, and try to rebuild, however conflict begins. The planet's two largest populations were divided up by two brother aliens, one who ruled over the manufacturing, and one who ruled over the armed forces. The two started to but heads over resources, and who's city was more important, and a civil war began. During this time, Malgrum's pieces had the time to morph into a smaller less powerful version of himself, and their outsides began to follow the theme of the environments they were in. The orcs in the mountain's also bred a new orc, a huge berserker orc with dreads, who stood a head and a half taller than the other orcs and wore chainmail and bone armor. It was armed with a mix of a club and an axe, and had enough strength to break mountains. A group of soldiers tasked with finding remnants of Malgrums army stumbled upon a few of them, and ended up injuring them. But before they could kill them, the berserker orc from over the cliff above and crashed down onto the company of soldiers. He killed all of the soldiers except one, who fell from the mountain and barely survived. Discovered, the orcs left camp and made their way through the planet, finding the lost pieces of Malgrum through rumors, and returning them to the moon. Once They recovered all of the pieces, Malgrum was able to reform to his former self, even more powerful. He had learned how to better control the power of the dark orb, and had the ability to finish what he had started. Learning of the return of Malgrum, the planet got back together and launched another attack on the moon. The armies engaged each other, and Malgrum stayed behind the battle, looking for the thief of the light orb. After finally spotting him, Malgrum sprang forward, gliding towards the opposing army. They prepared to engage, but Malgrum's power had grown so powerful that energy sprang from him and struck down everything around him. He tackled the thief, plunging him through the ground, miles down, until they reached the core of the moon, which had a circular walkway with a four straight walkways every ninety degrees. The two fought melee, Malgrum drawing a huge sword and the thief using a staff. Malgrum was beyond the thief's power, and his overwhelming sense of rage and purpose drove him to defeating the thief, disarming him and ripping the orb of light out of the thief's chest. The reality, just like before, began to fall apart, and Malgrum fell into the abyss. That is when he woke up, in the alley in Tokyo. The fall of the reality had taken him to earth, due to his connection from one of his pieces falling there before. Coming back to reality after his flashback, Malgrum now had the abilities and the control that he had before. Yelling, his eyes lit up and body glowed, as he tapped into the orb of darkness. He erupted, exploding the entire hanger and disintegrating all of the robots. He shielded Ryla from the explosion with his power, and approached her. They touched their heads together, and Malgrum awoke the memories Ryla had forgotten, with them embracing realizing they had finally found each other. "Let's go home," said Malgrum, releasing the orb of light from himself, and offering it to Ryla.
Bitoku and the group were pinned outside of the control room in a four way hallway, after retreating from it. They tried to return fire, but there were to many robots to move. "There's to many, we need to fall back," Yelled Kali. "No, not when we're this close," replied Bob. All of a sudden, a group of robots started running away from one of the directions, with the robots who were engaged with Bitoku turning and shooting at the direction they came from. "The hell?" said Mia."Impossible," said a lead robot in disbelief. Malgrum was walking down the corridor, however he was walking above the ground, on the air, floating. The area around him was getting torn apart by his mere existence, and but he was also using his power to piece it back together. "Well you guys turned out to be a shit investment," said Malgrum to the lead robot's. "No don't," they yelled, but they didn't stand a chance. Malgrum shot a giant beam of energy down the corridor, exploding all of the robots. "Well shit, looks like I missed out on something," said Bitoku, with his mouth hanging open in disbelief.
Malgrum walked past his group of friends and approached the control panel. "Welp, let's end this over with," he said, starting to play with the controls. "These guys usually show up pretty quickly, they travel fast." He finished punching all of the controls and the tracking beacon activated on the ship. After waiting a few minutes, a ship, even larger than the initial one, popped up in the sky. Larger, more complex robots were launched from it, tracking and hunting down all of the rogue robots, disposing of them and all of their tech. Malgrum and his group walked to the top of the ship, on a large landing pad for the smaller ships, and waited, as a small ship approached from the new giant ship. Out of it came some robot soldiers, who were protecting a couple of high ranked robots. "Wow, you actually survived that battle," one of them said to Malgrum. smirking, Malgrum replied, "Can't kill me that easily, especially that worm." Looking down at the destruction below, Malgrum said, "you guys realize I wanted an army that was more than just destroying everything." The robot, scratching it's head, said, "hey, we had a time crunch, and they should have gotten the job done, you just beat us to it." "Well, thanks for coming to clean your mess up at least." Malgrum chuckled. "We still have a few more units to take out in different dimensions, we have a lead on one, so once we're done hear we're tracking that one." Said the robot. "If you ever need anything just let us know." ushering the soldiers forward, the robots headed towards the control room, and after dropping Malgrum and his friends back on the ground, took the ship back to their ship, and once they collected all of their troops, ascended up and disappeared. "Okay, now can someone please tell me what the hell is going on," said Bitoku. Malgrum gave Bitoku a brief run-through of his past, how he was an immortal being who lost his world to a selfish person, and he followed him to the world he created with a new power, using it to destroy his world and take back the power that was stolen. "And yeah, since this was the only reality I was linked to other than my own, what remained of me was sent here, and me and Ryla lost our memories because human bodies struggle to comprehend our reality," finished Malgrum. "So you and Ryla's situation did have a connection, I knew it," said Bitoku, thrilled. "Wait, what are you going to do now?" He asked concerned. "Well, me and Ryla don't belong here, and we now have the ability to restore our reality," said Malgrum, looking at Ryla. "So we're going home, and bringing everyone and everything back to how it was, we'll have our peace back, we've been through hell long enough." Bitoku and the others, who had a somber look on their face, nodded. "We understand," said Bitoku. "But promise you'll visit, come over for dinner once a week or something." "Of course we can do that," said Ryla. The group said their goodbyes, and standing together facing the group, Ryla and Malgrum began to glow, and in a flash disappeared.
